Cookeville Pack 355

Pack 355 conducts several fundraisers per year. These fundraisers are necessary to help offset the costs of Pack events and awards for the Scouts. Without the fundraising events the Pack would not be able to provide the Scouts with a quality program full of activities and fun.

Typically, Pack 355 participates in the BSA popcorn fundraiser. We also sell Pack T-shirts and Sweatshirts each year. This year we plan on having a contest of the best design.  The Judge will  not know who's drawing they are looking at to keep it fair. The T-shirts have the winning Scout(s) design on the front and the names of all the Scouts, Leaders and Dens on the Back. Pack 355 T-shirts are expected to be a big hit this year! Finally, at the Blue & Gold banquet, Pack 355 will conduct a cake auction. The Scouts bake and decorate their own cake to bring to the Blue & Gold banquet for auction to the highest bidder.

The  Gourmet Popcorn sale is almost here! This is our major fundraiser for the Pack. We need everyone's help in selling the product. Our top ten sellers will receive additional camping supplies with the top seller choosing from the prize selection first. Our Pack receives 33% of all sales. Consider helping on the Show & Sell days and boost your sales! Door to door (take order) sales must have the parent or adult accompany the Scout.  C'mon 355, let's make this our best year ever!

Week of September 7th

- Flyers mailed from Council to all current Scouts. You may begin selling popcorn as soon as your flyer arrives.

Monday, September 13th

- Council-wide popcorn kickoff

Monday, September 20th

- Popcorn orders due to the committee. This includes all money. Popcorn must be paid for at the time of ordering. All popcorn must be paid for at the time of pickup at ____ Lane. - 931->>>>

Saturday, October 9th

- Popcorn pick-up at the Blair's  from 12 noon - 3pm.

Saturday, October 16th & Saturday, October 23rd

- Show & sell at T.B.A. stores 9am to 4pm in one to two hour shifts. Scout will get a percentage of the total amount sold added to their popcorn sales totals.

Monday, November 1st

- Take order sales due to Dessa Hix. This includes all money. Popcorn must be paid for at the time of ordering. All popcorn must be paid for at the time of pickup at 705 N. Dixie. - 931-667-4751.

Saturday, November 1st

- Popcorn pick-up at the ___________  from 12 noon - 3pm.

Thursday, January 21st

- Popcorn sale prizes to be handed out at Pack Meeting.

Cub Scout Pack 355 has taken over the painting of the mums you see on people’s driveways and around town on the streets and sidewalks. After talking with the Troop committee, it was recognized that traditionally, when the Webelos cross over to the Troop, the cost can be more than expected with monthly camp-outs and summer camp. The Troop committee decided to allow the Webelos to participate in the Mum painting fundraiser as a way to potentially offset some of these costs. Any current Webelos Scout who participates in the mum painting will have an account established by the Troop Treasurer that can be used for Webelos resident camp and day camp. If the Scout crosses over to Troop 586, he will already have an account established and may use his earnings toward Boy Scout activities including summer camp. If the Scout chooses not to continue in Scouts, the funds will revert back to the Troop general account.

The dates for Webelos to help out in the 2004 painting has not been set yet!

Camp Credits:

Pack 355 has ended the camp credits program as of this year. Any Scout who had camp credits may use their remaining credits toward Day or Resident camp, but no more are to be issued.
